If you are ready to take
your salsa to the next level then it is time to find an instructor. So
what do you look for? Here are some questions to ask yourself:
1. What kind of style do you want to pursue? Social salsa, ballroom
salsa, performance or choreography salsa, Cuban salsa...There are many
styles and you will probably learn many different styles over your
salsa career, however, you have to start somewhere so begin with the
style that your enjoy watching most.
2. Do you want a serious, high impact class or do you want a relaxing
and enjoyable class?
3. When are you available to take class and does this schedule concur
with the instructor's class schedule? Not all instructors teach salsa
as their primary career, sometimes their schedule will conflict with
yours.
4. Two words..."How...much?"
5. Do you want private lessons or group lessons? We estimate that
people learn approximately 300% faster with private lessons than with
group lessons. Group lessons are a good place to start because the
basics are a lot of repetition, however, once the basics are learned
you may want to get serious and take a few private lessons.
